The tile adhesive i am trying to get of my floor is black and gets sticky when heated. Any advise....?

Well when you said black and sticky I instantly went back to childhood and thought of that ugly old tile (VCT) in my parents house..LOL Yes it's a messy job I'll agree. It would be easier to just cover it up and move on but your talking some added expense, more labor and time consuming. I'm going to stick with the chemical adhesive removers. I wish I knew if it was on concrete or wood but you just brush a semi-paste chemical on and let it sit. Adhesive gets very slick and slimy, sc it up with putty / broad knife (6-12inch wide) wash with hot water a few times and throw your brush away!!! I suggest wearing knee pads and covering the toes of an old pair of shoes with tape....oh yeah and gloves. I just don't think the added height of a new substrate will benefit you if you don't have too. Hope all these suggestions help!!! Good Luck!

Why does my 96 jeep cherokee go into neutral when it tries to shift from 3rd gear to 4th?

when my 96 jeep cherokee shifts from 3rd to 4th it goes into neutral most of the time but other times it shifts perfect but when the gets a little hot it does it everytime. sometimes i can shift into neutral and back to drive it will kick in overdrive. now when in overdrive i can kick it down so to make it go into 4th like when im ping it will work perfect. it has 125000 miles but i have a 92 cherokee with 337000 miles and no prob at all with (knock on wood). i have changed the fluid and filter and checked what i could. i can rebuild that jeep from top to bottom but an automatic transmission is a mystery.

Okay so all my life i have always wanted to join the marines. Yes, I think revenue sharing can work, and they'd better keep the salary cap in place. Can someone who has no skill or experience at all at football coaching at 36 yrs old jump into the mix of coaching football. If so how do I start, with 3rd, 4th and 5th graders? We have 4 kids. For 3 of then school is easy and they are way above grade level. For one of them school is hard. She always has more homwork because she dosen't get it done in cl plus she has to study more because she is under grade level. I am her stepmom and I am the one that does most of the work with her because she lives with us. Dog Hacking Alot?

I have had numerous tests of my heart and lungs. My Lung function test shows a restriction when I exhale. My heart and lungs appear normal in every other test. I am on so many meds, that I get headaches and I feel none work. The only thing that helps is an albuterol rescue inhaler and that is a quick fix that doesn't last. I was tested by an allergist who said I'm allergic to everything. I have an IgE score of 450. I get winded very easily. I need some relief. I was at ground zero New York City several times. I worked in a highly visible moldy building when the breathing got really bad. I have nbo other symptoms other than feeling full and or bloated after very small amounts of food.

I'm 32 weeks pregnant experiencing pain in like it's swollen inside and out, the sides of my belly also hurts. I'm having difficulty in standing from siting or from lying in bed. Unless you are moving the drive to an exactly same make and model system the the problem is most likely related to the drivers that windows is trying to load (windows does load some system specific drivers even in safe mode). Try booting to a windows boot disk from the cdrom and that will tell you if it's hardware problem over software problem.

Rain shy pup?

My 5 year old Australian cattle dog goes ballistic when it rains. I have had her for about 4 months now and today was the first time I've seen how she reacts to wet weather. I can understand where she is coming from as she was a hurricane rescue, when she was found she was in a drainage ditch standing in about 8 inches of water. I have tried several different things, taking her out on a leash and giving her treats so she will ociate rain as a good thing, she wont even take the treats so thats not working. I tried completely ignoring her because i know if you try to comfort a dog it only reures their fear. The only thing that seemed to work was taking her for a ride in the car which just isnt feasible everytime it starts to sprinkle. I'm at a loss, I wouldnt be quite so worried about it if she was just a little scared but she literally goes crazy. I have Honda Ranchers, and I love them. However, my wife has a Kawasaki Prairie and one advantage is that if you are riding down a trail and see a deer, you can just grab her shift knob and pull back and you're in reverse. On the Ranchers, I have to work my way through the gears to neutral, press the lockout on, then shift again to get into reverse. It sounds small, but it takes a lot more time. For your particular situation though, I would probably recommend the Arctic Cat. Mainly for the 2 rider capability, but you also get lots of ground clearance and fully auto shifting. Not to mention a reasonable price.

Baby wants to eat baby powder, lotions, desitin, ect?

We have a changer table in our living room for our son (1 year old) which holds his diapers balmex, desitin, baby powders, tooth paste, lotions ect. Over the last few months it seems he just wont stop trying to eat them. I have moved the shelf holding these items up higher to where he cant reach, but if any of the items are in reach the first thing he tries to do is eat them. It has even come so far that he will throw a toy at the shelf to knock the lotions down into reach, shake the table in order to reach them. I now have moved every item out of the room and am basically depending on no baby treatments at all, because he will even reach into his diaper for the lotion and powder that we put on his . Part 3 to my story- be harsh! THANKS!?

Well the plot of the story is decent, but many of the elements seem so planned and superficial-like what you would expect from a novel at the grocery store check out counter. I would suggest that you go back through to the adjectives you used and upgrade them. If you can't think of a word yourself use a thesaurus. Next you need to look at more of the deep set roots of the story like the characters. Stories quickly become boring and dull if the reader can't connect to the characters. Add some backgrounds, add some of their thoughts, and add some of their feelings. Don't make it so clear cut action. What is the thought behind the action? Lastly interject some embellishment. Where is the spark or the color? I want to know what the setting is like as she's walking or in the car or at her grandmother's house. Use imagery- what does it smell, sound, look, feel, or taste like? I think the bones of your story are good but like a house blueprint they can always be tweaked to perfection!

Well what you should do is wait for a little while maybe a day or two. Then talk to her and tell her how you feel about her and why she doesn't feel the same anymore if she gives the "I can't deal with this right now" or the "I just don't know" tell her how you're willing to wait for an answer and that you care for her deeply for her. If she tells you why she changed try to understand that and try to make her change her perspective with the situation. But if she doesn't like I said tell her you're will to wait for her.

Please help!! dvd movie keeps stopping....?

i borrowed gladiator from my local store, and im trying to play it on my laptop. it worked fine for the first 56 mins of the mive, but at 56 mins nero said "the disc could not be read. (im using the new nero played, but this also happens with windows media player, except in wmp it jsut closes without any messages) anyways after the message i close the video, reopen it and go to scene selector, and go to the scene after the point where it stops playing (e.g if it stops in the middle of scene 2 then i go to scene 3) and then the movie works normally again, untill it reaches another point nd same thing happens again, and again i have to choose the next scene and miss some parts of the movie. does anyone know why this happens? i have tried cleaning the disc but no solution...

Hey! Get these two things checked before seeking information on a tumor. When I was 14 I started getting extremely bad mingraines, I'm 19 and still to this day I still get them, but not near as bad as they was. I had ton get tons of MRI's, and they never found anything. Came to find out when I became pregnant I had a low iron count, and that is one of the main signs ( Mingraine ) My mother n law is the same exact way. Check that first, then go get your eyes checked. It could vary well be one of those two things. Do that before MRI because those get expensive FAST!

My period is about 8 days late today. I am usually regular and I have never had a period this late...but I am still not having any symptoms that it is coming. I went skiing and took videos with my HD 1080p camcorder. When I watch them on PC, they are choppy. Why?

I have a JVC HD1080p handheld camcorder that I used to film some skiing. When I loaded the clips onto my PC and tried to play them, they were slow, choppy, and just a mess. I planned on making an overall video using the clips I shot from the camera using Windows Movie Maker. I'm not sure if I can get the 1080p clips on Windows Movie Maker so they are clear and if I can even burn those to a DVD. Is there a 1080p to DVD converter???? Direct holidays?

hi,been to greece twice this year with direct holidays and its bugging me why on both occasions they wanted to pick us up over 4 hours b4 our flight time.i know there are other pick ups but on both occasions we were 15 mins from the airport.when we looked at other opperators pick up times they only needed 2 and a half hours.we paid 15 euros for a cab and had another 2 hours by the pool,we were not the only ones who did this especially families with youngsters.if you have ever been to zante airport you know you wont get a seat,so you dont wont to be getting there any earlier than need be.probably gonna book with another company next time or do our own transfers.bye

Horrible pain when I stand?

I am 36 weeks pregnant with twins. When I wake up first thing in the morning I have this really bad pain when I first stand up. The pain is in my abdomen and shoots downward. I always have to try and wobble to the bathroom every morning. Do you think this pain is from the pressure of the babies on my bladder? Hello. My husband and I have recently decided it is time for us to move from South Africa, we’re just not sure where we would like to go. We have 3 children, 2 sons who are 14 and 17, and a daughter who is 16. We are finding life to frightening here now. We live in Cape Town, but we also keep homes in Paarl and Wilderness. All of our homes have been broken into, even though we have them severely protected. My daughter was home alone one evening when she noticed someone in the protected yard. She called SAPS and thank god the police got there in time. And then a few months ago my husband and I had our car hijacked by gunpoint at a stop light on our way home from the supermarket. We are really becoming concerned with the crime and want our kids to be somewhere where they can be safe and not having to be on high alertness all the time. We want to live somewhere nice, clean and safe with good education and jobs available. My husband and I both work in the medical field. He is a Neurosurgeon and I am an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. We are particularly considering Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, but are also interested in Ireland, Canada, and the US. We are also open to other suggestions. Can you suggest somewhere? Specifically, could you suggest a country and then some cities that meet or expectations? We would specifically like to be in an area with some other South African expats. We would also like an area that is more liberal minded, as my oldest son came out as gay last year.
