Moving to the philippines !?

I am planning on moving to the Philippines with in the next year . I plan on staying in Bulacan province . I am 27 years old and live in FLorida . Just always have wanted to live in philippines . I was thinking of brining about 4 to 6 thousand dollars to hopefully last me for 6 months while i look for a job . Will be living cheap and i know people there . Place i will be renting in bulacan will be 3000 peso a month so roughly 67 USD so 402 USD for 6 months plus other stuff . So what i am asking is 4-6 thousand a fair amont can i bring less like 3 thousand ?
