How would election resuts change if only income tax payers could vote?

Well, I’ve wonder for a long time how this country could survive when we have people voting that bore none of the consequences for their action. In other words, if you have people that pay no taxes, why on earth should they feel compelled to restrain spending by the government? It’s like “representation without taxation” It’s wonderful for politicians, but disastrous for the country. For that reason I’m in favor of a flat tax on every dollar earned. That way EVERYONE would be impacted by the spending decisions of this government and perhaps lead to a more responsible government.
