Court/sue question!?

A person has cleaned a few apt as a part timer for extra money for an apt.complex company,they didn't turn out good at all,I mean not cleaned as they should've been,so the manager for the apt.place only paid the cleaner half of the total ammount talked about,since she had to send other cleaners to finish the job.Now the person(who did the not so clean job)wants to sue the apt.complex for not getting the money she tought she was going to get,and I know that the manager has made clear that the apt,were not good for her to go back and touch them up or she wouldnt get paid,she just walked out without even filling out a venders form to get her check.So I'm sort of stock in the middle since the check came in my name,so I paid her what the invoice said(I also work for the apt.place as a contractor)yet she thinks the manager is not right and wants to sue.The manager said,that's fine since she deals with this all the time so...will I have to be envolved,does she have the right to sue?
