Has Obama Eased Race Relations or Made Race Relations More Problematic?

This is and was always going to be an inevitable period in American race relations, the first serious African American Presidential candidate with a real shot at winning, and the discussion that would result from it. This story isn't over, but it was inevitably going to happen at some point. Whether Sen. Obama is elected President or not, his role in the continuing discussion on race relations in this country through his campaign has earned him a place in history.
